Cardiology

The department of cardiology comprises of specialists of various cardiac sub-specialties, providing a broad range of services in the diagnosis and management of all types of heart diseases.

The department is supported by the cardiac non-invasive investigative laboratory and state of art cardiac catheterization laboratory. A hybrid Cath
lab is planned in near future. The department also has a robust physiotherapy and cardiovascular rehabilitative and preventive cardiology unit.

Patients who are referred by their family physicians or polyclinics to Shree Aggarsain International Hospital (SAIH) for further management of their heart-related disease are generally seen at the specialist outpatient clinics. Those with life-threatening conditions such as heart attack are admitted to SAIH through the emergency department to receive prompt treatment. The centre has been providing 24-hour emergency coronary angioplasty (Primary Angioplasty) service for the treatment of heart attack to save the heart.

INTENSIVE CORONARY CARE UNIT

Shree Aggarsain International Hospital has a 11 bedded ICCUfacility equipped to manage the most critical cardiac patients as per world standards. The ICCU is positioned with easy access to the Cardiac Cath Lab unit and Cardiac Surgical Unit on the same floor. Specially trained nursing staff, Cardiology Fellows and Anaesthesiologist are available round the clock in the ICCU. All the beds are hooked to the latest Mindraymonitors which do Multipara Monitoring and are capable of measuring Non-Invasive Cardiac Output. There is a Central Telemetric Unit allowing meticulous observation for adverse cardiac events from the nursing station. The CCU has defibrillators capable of bedside Per-cutaneous Pacing also, if need arises. Additional equipment include: Ventilators, Intra –aortic Balloon Pump, Impella and Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenator (ECMO). A dedicated, bed side Echocardiography Unit is placed in CCU.
