Achievements:

• Dr. Diwakar Jha is a senior Internal Medicine specialist with over twenty-five years of post-graduate clinical experience across Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Cardiology. 

• An alumnus of Motilal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad, he completed his MD in Internal Medicine in 1999 and has since developed a distinguished career within leading tertiary care hospitals in Delhi. 

• His practice is firmly grounded in evidence-based medicine, with particular emphasis on critical care, chronic disease management, and ethical, patient-centric treatment approaches. 

• Dr. Jha commenced his advanced clinical career as Senior Resident in the Departments of Medicine and Neurology at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) and University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), Delhi. During this period, he was actively involved not only in acute inpatient care and neurological case management but also in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical training activities. His role included academic discussions, bedside teaching, and participation in institutional training programs, reflecting his early engagement with medical education alongside service delivery. 

• He subsequently served as Clinical Assistant in Neurology at VIMHANS, Delhi (Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health, Neuro & Allied sciences) and Maharaja Agrasen Hospital Delhi, where he gained focused expertise in stroke care, seizure disorders, neuro-medical emergencies, and multidisciplinary case management. These roles strengthened his ability to manage complex systemic illnesses with neurological involvement, a skill that has remained central to his clinical practice. 

• A defining phase of Dr. Jha’s career has been his long-term association with Saroj Hospital & Heart Institute and Max Super Specialty Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. At these reputed institutions, he functioned as Visiting Consultant in Internal Medicine, managing a wide spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions, including cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. At Max Hospital, he also played an academic role by conducting regular teaching sessions and coordinating the DNB Internal Medicine program for nearly two years in collaboration with Dr. L. K. Mehta, contributing meaningfully to postgraduate medical training. 

• In addition, Dr. Jha has served as Visiting Consultant at several prominent hospitals, including Muni Maya Ram Jain Hospital (Pitampura), Cygnus MLS Hospital, RLKC Hospital & Metro Heart Institute, and Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he was recognized as a “COVID Warrior” by Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital for his tireless clinical service and commitment during an unprecedented public health crisis. 

• He is a Lifetime Member of RSSDI (Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India), NDPF (North Delhi Physician Forum) and IMA (Indian Medical Association) Rohini Zone and actively participates in academic forums, including DNB academic programs and ENT and multidisciplinary medical conferences, reflecting his continued engagement with professional development.
